Meet Matt

Born and raised in California, I made my way to the East Coast for work and found myself planting roots in Lancaster. With extensive experience in shibari, opening Bound Studio allowed me to uncover another passion: capturing the art of rope on the human form through photography. In my shibari practice, I love exploring shapes, discovering movement within stillness, and finding beauty in the interplay of form and restraint.

Photography, for me, is about capturing those fleeting spaces in between—the moments where shibari reveals our emotional freedom to simply exist, held and motionless, in the present.
